Local Footy Success

A quick update for the Karoonda-Brentwood Sporting Association clubhouse.

The old clubhouse at Karoonda Reserve in Booragoon, home of the Brentwood/Karoonda Football Club and the Booragoon Junior Football and Cricket Club, is getting a much-needed renovation.
Management from the ‘Brentwood Karoonda sporting association contacted John Bodin from One Design and Construct with a view to extending and expanding the existing clubhouse. John was able to offer a design that gave the club everything they required in a contemporary venue to support the future of local football and other community sporting events. The additions provide new storage space for equipment, a very large function area with a bar and separate kitchen, new bathrooms/toilets, and importantly, now equipped with a women’s change rooms. Karoonda Reserve has never previously had facilities specifically for sportswomen, so when the renovations are complete, the club will be all set to cater for Women’s Football, which is hugely popular. Everyone’s very excited to support AFLW and see local women make their mark in our iconic Aussie game!

One DC’s clubhouse design also incorporates a bigger undercover patio area facing onto the oval, which will offer fans and families comfortable viewing in rain or shine. The design and quality workmanship provided by John and his team have really ticked all the boxes for everyone associated with the clubhouse. And the new facilities had a bit of a test run recently for a ladies cricket day event. John and his team were happy to clean up the construction area for the event to ensure safety and help everything run smoothly. By all reports, the day was a great success! With renovations set to be completed in time for the 2017 footy season, the Brentwood Booragoon Football Club and affiliated sporting organisations are looking forward to many more successes while they enjoy the newly updated clubhouse at Karoonda Reserve.
